PEERS Had No Exposure to Madoff, Stanford or Westridge

With regard to the recent headlines concerning investor fraud, PSRS and PEERS had no exposure to Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities, Stanford Financial Group or Westridge Capital Management in its investment funds.

As a fiduciary, PSRS/PEERS has maintained a long-standing practice of conducting significant due diligence on potential and existing investment managers. The due diligence is always a dual process with research conducted by internal PSRS/PEERS investment staff and at least one external consultant.
